DreamMedia is currently implemented as a Web Application, using the Echo Framework, that makes use of some services (searcher, dreamer) that can either run in the application server, or outside of it. Why are you using Java, isn't it slow? It really depends on the skill level of the developer. Its like saying that automobiles are slow. Yes, sometimes they go slow, sometimes they go fast, but it depends on who's behind the wheel. Im not a big fan of slow programs, so DreamMedia isn't slow.
Non-Technical: Can I download copyrighted songs? The only copyrighted songs that you should ever download are those that you already own. You should never download a copyrighted song that you don't have a legal right to use. If I download a song and like it, should I buy the album? Yes, always do everything you can to support the artist. Vote with your money.
